A CRUMB FROM THE MASTER’S TABLE / “WEALTH DOES NOT WORK IN HELL”

Hell Fire

The Rich Man and Lazarus

19 “There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. 20 And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, 21 who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried, 23 and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. 24 And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.  ~ Luke 16:19-25 (ESV)

Your wealth belongs to you and you are entitled to spend it and use it in any way that you would like.  It is your money and you are entitled to clothe yourself in the most expensive and luxurious garments and jewelry that your money can buy.  It is your wealth and you control it and you can live in extravagance and opulence if you so desire.  It is your money and you can buy whatever it is that you want to eat, drink, drive in, fly in or reside in.  It is your money to do with as you please. With wealth, you are debt free and you don’t owe anyone anything.  RIGHT?

However, Heaven belongs to GOD and He determines who enters and who does not.  Earthly wealth and riches don’t work in Heaven and they sure don’t work in hell.

GOD DOESN’T OWE ANYONE ANYTHING. However…

Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord,
and he will repay him for his deed. ~ Proverbs 19:17 (ESV)

Indifference to the sufferings of other and your refusal to see and assist others in their lack, poverty and pain are indicative of an unloving, ungodly and uncaring soul.

If anyone with earthly possessions sees his brother in need, but withholds his compassion from him, how can the love of God abide in him? ~ 1 John 3:17

A soul that can live sumptuously every day and in opulence while other souls suffer in front of them is clearly not of God nor do they love GOD.  And at the end of their lifespan, they have only the fearful expectation of eternal damnation.

What does this say about the rich prosperity preachers and wealthy ministers and parishioners who flaunt their wealth in the face of the poor and downcast and suffering?  Can our God (YHVH) be their god of earthly greed and indifference?

The scriptures make it plain and it is obvious from the story that because of his indifference to the sufferings of poor Lazarus the rich man ended up in a place of eternal torment that we call “hell” while Lazarus experienced an eternal reward for having suffered so much on earth.

The testimony of LAZARUS could easily be…

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. ~ Psalm 34:6-7

We all would like to experience our healing, rescue and salvation in the land of the living but not all will.  However, our story doesn’t end with our death. It continues into eternity.  And it is there in eternity that we would like to experience the bliss and eternal blessings of eternal life with God and Christ.

Be careful and be warned.  How you treat others who are less fortunate than you may have eternal consequences on your soul.

GOD’S WORD JUDGES US ALL

juridical concept with hammer and lawbook, selective focus on metal part, toned f/x

The Law should work as hard to exonerate an innocent person as it does to convict a guilty person.  But the problem with the Law is that it is as inconsistent and as prejudice as those who are charged with interpreting it, applying it and enforcing it.

LET’S NOT PUNISH THE GOOD WITH BAD.

Every transgression isn’t criminal and every Law Enforcement Officer isn’t a racist murder.

I AM GRATEFUL

Grateful heart

Good Morning Everybody. Praise the LORD YHWH in the name of HIS SON YeHoWsHua Ha Mashiach.

Everyone may not be able to relate to this, but I am just grateful to be alive today and that things are as well as they are.
No. I am not rich.

No. I am not in the best of health.

No. I don’t have all my bills paid.

No. I don’t have all of my needs met.

No. My dreams have not come true.

No. I am not the happiest person in the world.

But I am GRATEFUL!

I know that things could be a whole lot worse than it is right now. I know that it can get really bad, really quick, fast and in a hurry. I know the other side is always present and threatening. I know that it is a close to me as a shadow and can strike between heartbeats and change my life eternally.

But I am GRATEFUL that YeHoWsHua is closer and HIS HOLY SPIRIT keeps me and HIS NAME shelters me and HIS Angels Watches Over Me Constantly and He Hears and Answers My Prayers.

I AM JUST GRATEFUL!

I THANK GOD THAT I AM STILL ALIVE!

A CRUMB FROM THE MASTER’S TABLE / “IT IS A BLESSING TO BE PERSECUTED”

The Master's Table

“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”  ~ Matthew 5:10-12

Have you ever noticed that God’s Way and his choices in leadership and messengers aren’t subject to man’s scrutiny or assessment? God doesn’t subject Himself or His decisions to the wisdom of man. GOD Is GOD ALONE!

Often God’s chosen and sent emissaries are rejected by the world and its systems of organized religions and Christian churches. Often God’s true servants must stand alone, preach alone and endure a very lonely life.

Look at Jesus’ earthly minister. He was not supported or endorsed by any mainstream religious sect or organization (denomination). To the contrary, because he preached differently from the recognized Jewish religious organizations and was not sanctioned by them nor did he submit himself or his message to them for their examination and approval, he was ostracized, ridiculed and marked for destruction and death by them.

He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

~ Isaiah 53:3-5 ~

If you aren’t a part of the good old boys network and if you don’t play politics and kiss butt and pay monetary tributes and give praises to certain persons who deem themselves entitled to decide your fate in ministry, you will be ostracized, ridiculed, despised and rejected by men and marked for destruction and death by them.

You will often stand alone! But be encouraged because you are not alone. Rejoice! You are in the divine fraternity of God-sent messengers who were also rejected and despised by men but remembered by God.

To God be THE GLORY!

A CRUMB FROM THE MASTER’S TABLE – “Wealth Doesn’t Bring Happiness”

The Master's Table

“The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, without painful toil for it.” (Proverbs 10:22 NIV)

“God gives some people wealth, possessions and honor, so that they lack nothing their hearts desire, but God does not grant them the ability to enjoy them, and strangers enjoy them instead. This is meaningless, a grievous evil.” (Ecclesiastes 6:2 NIV)

bar47

While praying for wealth, pray that God grants you the ability, life, health, strength and sense to enjoy it and the gratefulness to joyfully share, invest and give some of it into the lives of others for God Loves a cheerful giver.

ECCLESIASTES 2

Without God’s favor, grace and mercy, wealth is joyless and unfulfilling. Wealth does not empower us to enjoy it.  Being wealthy alone will not make one happy or fulfilled. Wealth alone cannot cure depression, loneliness, low self-esteem or that gnawing feeling inside of being empty.

But…

“To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness (The power to enjoy wealth), but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God.” (Ecclesiastes 2:26)

A Crumb From The Master’s Table

The Master's Table

I’ve Got God’s Word On It

12 He also said to the one who had invited Him, “When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid. 13 On the contrary, when you host a banquet, invite those who are poor, maimed, lame, or blind. 14 And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” ~ Luke 14:12-14

bar47

Many people invite others to lunch or dinner with some ulterior motive in mind. They are usually expecting something in return or at the least, they expect their generosity to be returned. This behavior is practiced among ordinary people as well as high-profile people like politicians and Pastors. As the old saying goes, “One hand washes the other” or “You wash my back and I’ll wash your back.”

But God’s Word says that God’s children should not behave in such a manner. To the contrary, we should seek an opportunity to serve and give to those who cannot repay us.

We should feed those who cannot offer us a meal in return. We should honor the disabled and the unemployed with assistance free of any expectation of repayment. We should provide sustenance for those who cannot see their way out of their destitution. We should invite the disenfranchised to the table of brotherly love. In so doing, we have a rightful expectation of repayment in the day of our resurrection.

“A wicked person earns deceptive wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.” ~ Proverbs 11:18

Our righteous acts are not for earthly reward but for Heavenly Glory!
