[The Following Is NOT referring to the Hirelings (Pastors Who are Hired Servants of a Religious Institution) But to the UNEMPLOYED NON-INSTITUTIONAL GOD SENT SHEPHERDS AT-LARGE who have faithfully served FREELY and CONSITENTLY.]

We will work to pay the cable company $99 – $150 per month to provide channels that we hardly ever watch and don’t like. But we will not give God’s faithful servants a one-time annual donation of $120.00 ($10.00 per month).

We will sacrifice, save and borrow to go on a trip for a week or a weekend and stay in a luxury hotel and go to Disney World, spending upwards of $1000 – $5000 for the privilege. But we will ignore the fundamental financial and living needs of the genuine servant of God.

We will plan and budget to go out on the town with our friends and get drunk, get high, fornicate and engage in sexually immoral and licentious behaviors – costing anywhere from $100 – $1000.00. But we cannot seem to plan to give God’s messengers the price of new pair of shows or the price of a meal for a famiy of four.

Yet when tragedy, illness and disease hits our lives and the lives of our loved ones; when death visits our homes, we often look for support from the one we didn’t support. We often expect a visit from the one that we ignored.

When we are downtrodden, destitute and hungry for prayer and encouragement, we often want to be feed by the main one that we starved and abandoned.

And behold the genuine servants of YHVH rises to the needs of the sheep without consideration for their own wellbeing often with their head bloodied from spiritual warfare, pockets emptied from giving themselves  away and hearts aching from loving those who do not love them back.

I Wonder What God Thanks About This.

Wake Up People!

2012 owpPSE Cookinecutter

According to www.AllChristianNews.com, gospel singer Kirk Franklin is now in the cross-hairs of the gay community for speaking out against homosexuality.  Franklin is under attack for calling on the gay community to “abandon the homosexual lifestyle.”  All true saints of God are under consistent criticism for not embracing homosexuality. (See the story at http://praisedc.com/1467719/kirk-franklin-is-now-under-fire-from-gay-rights-groups/)

It has become fashionable to attack anyone who speaks out against abominations and brazen sin. The end-time persecution of God’s saints has begun.  If we don’t go along with their sinful ways, the powers that be will attempt to negatively affect our lives, our salaries and our overall wellbeing.

These perverted and demented souls are attempting to equate a godly aversion to homosexuality with racism and other sensitive social ills.  That is like equating our aversion and disgust of child sexual abuse with being a patriot.  One has nothing to do with the other. They cannot generate any merit for their sin so they parasite on the emotions of other issues.

WAKE UP PEOPLE!

We may as well put our war clothes on. “God Can’t Use No Coward Soldier.”  After reading the Kirk Franklin story, you would be well advised to visit GOD CAN’T USE A COWARD SOLDIER

Today’s Question:

There were some believers who had repented and had been baptized in the name of Christ Jesus and had received the Holy Spirit but had brought their old religious legalistic prejudices and traditions with them. They held taught the non-Jewish believers that they had to be circumcised in order to be saved. However, this teaching was not authorized by Christ or His Apostles.

Paul and Barnabas went up to Jerusalem before the Apostles and Elders (Bishops) to have a hearing on the question of Circumcision and Moses’ Law being a requirement for salvation (The hearing was not about the Eternal the Ten Commandments). During the hearing in the assembly at Jerusalem, Paul and Barnabas reported about the miracles and wonders that God had done among the non-Jewish population. Apostle Peter testified also of how God had confirmed His acceptance of non-Jewish believers by giving them the irrefutable evidence of the Hoy Spirit (Acts 10:44-47).

After everyone had finished testifying, I then spoke and testified that the Words of Peter, Barnabas and Paul were confirmed by the prophets and that we should not make it difficult for the non-Jewish population who are turning to God. Who am I?

Special Memo:

This is the last Bible Scholar Question for a while (an estimated two weeks) and I wanted you to know that I appreciate your faithfulness and devotion in participating in the early morning Bible Challenges and Studies (The Bible Scholars Group).

Please don’t hesitate to keep in touch. I will still post on my blog from time to time as the Lord leads. And please remember to keep me in your prayers as I will keep you in mine.

But before I leave I would like to invite you to consider being a guest host on my online radio talk show. I’d rather have someone I am familiar with and who is familiar with me and what I believe- God’s Ordained Plan of Salvation. That way I’d know the exchange will be lively, informative and blessed.

The upcoming topic for discussion is taken from my podcast entitled “Stop Getting Drunk on Junk” which is no longer available online but will be aired on the broadcast. It discusses the problem of erroneous and irrelevant sermons from the pulpit and challenges all believers to stop being intoxicated off of emotionalism and intellectualism and seek the Truth of the Saving Gospel of God in Christ. Surely, someone has something to say regarding this topic and I would like for you to have the opportunity to say it.

Please contact me at owprince@gmail.com if you think that you would like to be a call-in guest host.

I am scheduling a practice broadcast soon so call ASAP. The Practice Broadcast will not be aired but we can use it to workout the kinks and make you more comfortable.

Thank you so much for your consideration and cooperation.

Keep Looking Up!

Today’s Question:

A lot of evangelists and preachers, especially the crusade type evangelists, teach that Jesus has done it all and that there is nothing for us to do in order to be saved other than to “receive” what Jesus has already done. They often describe themselves as leading a sinner to Christ. They tell the sinner that all they have to do is “receive” the finished work of Christ.

Is this sound doctrine? Is this what the Apostles of Christ taught? Where is this illustrated (Shown to have happened) in Holy Scripture?

————————————————————-

The answer for today’s Bible Challenge Question is: No!

This is neither sound doctrine nor was it taught by Christ or His Apostles. No one was ever saved just by [Receiving] accepting the message of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. The Apostles taught belief [trust, obedience, submissiveness, surrender] to God through Christ Jesus and that Jesus is the Son of God. They taught how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him…They taught about their witness of His death, burial and resurrection and of how the prophets foretold of Him…They taught that to receive Christ one had to Repent, be Baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ For the Forgiveness of Sin and that God would give them the promised gift and sign of their acceptance by giving them the Holy Spirit that would empower them to speak with other tongues. All of this is well documented and illustrated throughout Holy Scripture.

No one was considered saved simply because they “received Christ” or “gave their lives to Christ” or “professed Christ.” They must act upon what God has commanded and God has commanded that everyone be born of the Water and of the Spirit in order to be born again and enter into the Kingdom of God. God has commanded that in order to be born again and added to His Church, one must:

  1. Repent (Die to sin),
  2. Be baptized in water (Buried with Christ) in the name of Jesus Christ
  3. And receive the gift of the Holy Spirit that will make Himself known by empowering one to speak in other tongues.

Without these three witnesses, there is no salvation. (ref. 1 John 5:6-8)

The early Christian Church understood faith, the gift of the Spirit, and water baptism in Jesus’ name as One continuous Unified Salvation Experience. (1 John 5:8if any one of these components were absent then salvation was also absent.

Therefore, it is wrong to tell someone that they are saved simply by “receiving Christ” or believing in Christ.  The demons believe and tremble

Please see THE WAY OF SALVATION for more information.  You may also want to read YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN PART 2 – PASTORAL COMMENTARY.

“I Love God” / This Week’s Word and Prayer for May 27, 2013

Love God ab

When you love someone, you want to know what will make them happy, what their tastes are, how to please them, so that you can do special little things for them to express your love.

A Christian’s life should revolve around a true love for God. We should want to communicate with Him in prayer in order to get to know Him. We should want to study the His Word in order to understand Him, to see how to make Him happy and do specifically what He require of us as well as do special things for Him to show Him our love.

God wants us to focus on a loving relationship with Him.2012 owpPSE Cookie resized

This Week’s Word

37 Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment.”  ( Matthew 22:37-38)

This Week’s Prayer

Father, we pray to You in the only name that is above every name—YeHoWsHua HaMashiach* – The Anointed One From God – Jesus the Christ.  We pray that You would forgive us for our sins against You.  We realize now that it was our sins that caused Your suffering on the cross of Calvary.  We repent of our hurtful disobedience to Your commandments.  We now seek only to please You.  And we know that it is impossible to please You without Faith – trust, obedience and submissiveness . Help us to Obey and Trust Your Holy Word.  We want to live to make You happy.  We want to show our Love for You by our obedience to You.  We want to do those things that make You smile from Heaven and say that we are Your children in whom You are well pleased.  This is our prayer in the name of our LORD YeHoWsHua HaMashiach* (Jesus) the Christ, Amen.

Footnote: *The Hebrew spelling of the name of Christ is used in this prayer for educational purposes. Yehowshua is often shorten to Yeshua but out of respect for my Lord I chose to use the spelling of His proper name to demonstrate that His name is above every name and that even the spelling of His name is relative to the spelling of The Father’s name – remembering that there were not any vowels in the Hebrew alphabets.  Thus, YHWH(Yahweh) and YeHoWsHua (Yahweh is salvation) are grammatically and uniquely related.  Notice the Y-H-W-H in both the Father and the Son.
