When you love someone, you want to know what will make them happy, what their tastes are, how to please them, so that you can do special little things for them to express your love.
A Christian’s life should revolve around a true love for God. We should want to communicate with Him in prayer in order to get to know Him. We should want to study the His Word in order to understand Him, to see how to make Him happy and do specifically what He require of us as well as do special things for Him to show Him our love.
God wants us to focus on a loving relationship with Him.
This Week’s Word
37 Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment.” ( Matthew 22:37-38)
This Week’s Prayer
Father, we pray to You in the only name that is above every name—YeHoWsHua HaMashiach* – The Anointed One From God – Jesus the Christ. We pray that You would forgive us for our sins against You. We realize now that it was our sins that caused Your suffering on the cross of Calvary. We repent of our hurtful disobedience to Your commandments. We now seek only to please You. And we know that it is impossible to please You without Faith – trust, obedience and submissiveness . Help us to Obey and Trust Your Holy Word. We want to live to make You happy. We want to show our Love for You by our obedience to You. We want to do those things that make You smile from Heaven and say that we are Your children in whom You are well pleased. This is our prayer in the name of our LORD YeHoWsHua HaMashiach* (Jesus) the Christ, Amen.
Footnote: *The Hebrew spelling of the name of Christ is used in this prayer for educational purposes. Yehowshua is often shorten to Yeshua but out of respect for my Lord I chose to use the spelling of His proper name to demonstrate that His name is above every name and that even the spelling of His name is relative to the spelling of The Father’s name – remembering that there were not any vowels in the Hebrew alphabets. Thus, YHWH(Yahweh) and YeHoWsHua (Yahweh is salvation) are grammatically and uniquely related. Notice the Y-H-W-H in both the Father and the Son.
