But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land? “While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” And as he heard these words, Ananias fell down and breathed his last. (Acts 5:3-5)
There are severe consequences to lying.
When we purposely lie to an authorized representative of civil or federal law in an attempt to deceive, it is called a crime and there are dire consequences.
When we purposely lie to a divinely authorized and Holy Spirit filled representative of Almighty God, it is called sin and there are dire consequences. For the wages of sin is death.

I have been trying to put into words what has been very obvious to me over the years regarding traditional churches and congregations but have found it very difficult to express. So please forgive the lack of polish or sophistication of the following observations:
It is my observation and personal experience that many churches (maybe unconsciously) have placed themselves as the judge and jury of who is good enough to Pastor and/or preach in their pulpits. They have developed elaborate and politically driven organizations known as Ecclesiastical Governing Bodies to discern, discriminate, set benchmarks, examine and decide for them who should be their Pastor/Leader/Shepherd. But shouldn’t that be God’s decision?
It is my experience and observation that those who are making such life altering decisions are not saved according to the Holy Scriptures nor are they influenced by the Holy Spirit but by church politics, human traditions, arbitrary rules and clandestine motives shrouded in out-of-context scripture verses –totally corrupt, perverse and out of the will of God.
Maybe this is why the Christian Church is in the condition it is today – lacking genuine moral integrity and Divine Truth.
They tell a story (fable) of salvation that sounds good but is a lie from the depths of hell that neither saves nor transforms but entertains, fascinates, inspires, blinds and deceives its listeners.
For the time has come and now is when men will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they have accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, doctrines, traditions and beliefs and have turned away from the Truth and have turned to myths… (ref. 2 Tim. 4:3-4)
~ The Continuing Message of Salvation ~
Would you rather feel good or be well?
A lot of folks are made to feel good while in actuality they are dying. They are suffering from the horrors of the undiagnosed disease of sin. They are exemplifying all of the symptoms of sin i.e. unforgiveness, malice, fornication, adultery, lying, stealing, disobedience to God’s Eternal Commandments, idolatry, homosexuality, false doctrines, witchcraft, licentiousness, lewdness, pornography, vulgar speech, vulgar appearance, vulgar thinking, drunkenness, sexual perversions and uncleanness, BUT NO ONE WANTS TO TELL THEM ABOUT THEIR DREADFUL DISEASE OF SIN.
Most folks are satisfied with being made to feel good about themselves. (2 Timothy 4:3) They want to be encouraged in their sinful state. They want to be excused from any genuine change and told that they can be successful Christian through the process of self-improvement, learning to live right and understanding God’s Word by continual studying and church attendance. Some are convinced that they can be saved simply by believing in the Lord whereas the demons also believe and tremble. Are demons saved by faith also? If the demons are not saved then neither are those who simply receive Christ with a gesture of faith or some man-made sinner’s prayer.
I’d rather hear the truth about my sinful condition that threatens my eternal soul rather than be deceived into believing that I am alright then die and go to hell. I had rather be thoroughly examined, properly diagnosed and prescribed God’s eternal commandments for salvation (Repentance, Water Baptism in His Name and the Empowerment of the Holy Spirit – John 3:3-7 and Acts 2:38) and take my medicine now than walk around thinking I am saved only to hear the Lord tell me on that day “…I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!” (Matthew 7:21-23)
As for the would be deceiver of my soul, there is a dreadful day ahead for him. (Ref. Ezekiel 33:1-9)
I’D RATHER BE WELL THAN JUST MADE TO FEEL GOOD.
How about you?
