The world and her lying god and her lying churches and her lying preachers have deceived many well-intentioned believers as well as some well-intentioned Pastors into thinking that there is nothing wrong with observing pagan traditions and man-made celebrations and holidays while setting aside God’s Holy Days as being antiquated, old-fashioned, obsolete and no longer needed. The Bible records Jesus as saying that the religious leaders are “experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep their tradition.”
Many do not realize that man’s traditions and ceremonies do not belong to God. And although many of man’s traditional holidays and traditions are veiled in seemingly harmless gestures of love and caring, they are not ordained by God or supported by His WORD and can never usurp or replace God’s Eternal Law and Commandments.
There are some man-made traditions, ceremonies and holidays that are actually vile and disgusting to God and He forbids His people from ever participating in them or imitating them in any way whatsoever. His name and His people are to be forever separated from them. God vehemently rejects any worship of Him that is tainted with the traditions of the world and her pagan celebrations. It is reprehensible for a child of God to relate The Holy Father and/or His name to the works of evil men and their pagan festivals. The world belongs to Satan but we belong to the Kingdom of God. And as God’s people, there are some things that we cannot do and be a true worshiper of Father YHVH. (Deuteronomy 12:4)
On this Sabbath Day of February 14, 2015, many who call themselves Christians and who believe themselves to be saved will not observe the Sabbath but celebrate the pagan day called Valentine’s Day. Satan’s priests and experts have cleverly and effectively disguised this wanton disobedience as being harmless and have called it “a day of love.” Satan has completely draped the tradition of Valentine’s Day in a shroud of misguided emotions and perpetual commercialism – perverting what “Love” truly is. I assure you that God doesn’t approve of Valentine’s Day nor does He approve of those who celebrate Valentine’s Day while setting aside His Commandment to observe His Seventh Day Sabbath. He plainly and clearly says that to set aside His Sabbath Day while upholding the traditions of Valentine’s Day makes one a vain, ineffective and worthless worshiper.
The Eternal Commandment (LAW) of God recorded in Exodus 20:8-11 tells us what day that the Lord commands and expects for us to observe in our worship of Him. However many have chosen to try to change what cannot be changed and set aside what cannot be set aside. (Daniel 7:25)
“Remember the day, Shabbat, to set it apart for God (Keep It Holy). You have six days to labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Shabbat for Adonai your God. On it, you are not to do any kind of work — not you, your son or your daughter, not your male or female slave, not your livestock, and not the foreigner staying with you inside the gates to your property. For in six days, Adonai made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested. This is why Adonai blessed the day, Shabbat, and separated it for himself.
Let us hear what God says in Exodus 31:16-17
‘So the sons of Israel shall observe the Sabbath, to celebrate the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.’ “It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed.”
If we belong to Christ, then we are Abraham’s seed (Israelites), and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29) We are bound by an everlasting covenant in blood through Christ that is a perpetual sign of our adoption as sons and daughters of God.
Those who are not washed in the blood of Christ by water baptism in His name and gifted with the Holy Spirit as evidenced through the speaking in tongues are not heirs of Abraham and as such are not bound in covenant relationship with Father God. And neither can they perceive the things of God. Therefore, not everyone will be able to receive this revelation from God. It may even be difficult for those who are born again but trapped by their own lust and desire for the world to accept this revelation.
It is my prayer and hope that someone seeking salvation and a closer and more abiding relationship with the FATHER may be drawn out of the darkness of man’s traditions and holidays into the marvelous Light of CHRIST.
Ultimately, we all have to decide whether we want our worship of God to be pure and holy and untainted with the stench of rebellion, disobedience and paganism.
We have to make up our hearts and minds if we are going to be the glorious church that Christ is returning for, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but holy and without blemish or are we going to continue to worship Him in vain.
“Now, therefore, fear the LORD and serve Him in sincerity and truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. “If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:14-15)
