A HOUSE DIVIDED Matthew 12v 25

You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? (1 Corinthians 3:3)

This may come as a shock to some and news to other, but we live in a time of Christendom where some Christians are jealous of other Christians and some think that they are more important, more anointed and superior to other Christians.

I know one Pastor who can barely refer to me as “Bishop O.W. Prince” without mumbling and swallowing the title “Bishop.”  This particular brother has an issue with giving due honor and respect to me but it is his problem and not mine.  He and others like him are apart of a school of thought whereas they think that the title “Bishop” is a title of ecclesiastical hierarchy or superiority.  This attitude and misconception rules the way that they relate to each other and others.  It is a type of classism and discrimination that pollutes their minds and perverts their churches and inter-church relationships.  It is their way but it is not the WAY of Almighty YAHWEH.

Some believers display open prejudice and dislike for other believers simply because they practice different religious traditions or attend different denominational churches or dress differently or preach differently or have different skin color.

Some believers are swayed and impressed by beautiful and eloquent man-made worship facilities that are headed by celebrity-like Pastors laden with academic and ecclesiastical credentials whereas they think that by becoming a member of such an organization that they also take on some sort of high religious-social status or rank.

Some churches and pastors are so blinded and deafened by their self-admiration and material glorification that they cannot see nor hear God’s Word manifested and proclaimed in anyone else.

Only Baptist preachers who preach in the Baptist theological tradition are allowed to preach in Baptist churches. Only Methodist preachers who preach in the Methodist theological tradition are allowed to preach in Methodist churches. Only Apostolic preachers who preach in the Apostolic theological tradition are allowed to preach in Apostolic churches.  Only Catholic priests are allowed to preach in Catholic churches.  Only Pentecostal Evangelical Holiness preachers who preach in the Pentecostal Evangelical Holiness way are allowed to preach in Pentecostal Evangelical Holiness churches.  And so on and so forth. Some believers will not even visit another assembly of believers or worship at another place of worship outside of their own denomination or religious organization – not on principle of doctrine – but because of prejudice and religious discrimination.

Some Christians regularly express that there are “levels” of anointing.  Some verbally express that their pastor or preacher is of a higher “level” of anointing than another.  And many Christian religious organizations have perverted the gifts that God gave to HIS ONE TRUE CHURCH for the perfecting of the saint into human offices of power, hierarchy, rank and superiority in the Church whereas one’s title or office is presumed to be superior or subordinate to another’s.

Whereas this may be true of the world’s churches and her system of religious theology and denominationalism, it is not true in GOD’S ONE TRUE CHURCH.  As a matter of Scripture, the world’s system of religion and order is opposed to God’s divinely ordained order and HIS RIGHTEOUS AND HOLY WAY.

“Then Peter began to speak: ‘I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism.’” (Acts 10:34)

“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)

“Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.” (1 Corinthians 1:10)

“Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.” (Romans 12:16)

“In Christ there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all.” (Colossians 3:11)

In GOD’S ONE TRUE CHURCH, there isn’t any place for feelings or attitudes of superiority, bigotry, classism, prejudice and discrimination among God’s water baptized, blood washed, Holy Spirit filled born again children and HIS chosen and anointed messengers.

Imitate Christ!

Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort in love, any sharing in the Spirit, any sympathy, complete my joy by thinking the same way, having the same love, being united, and agreeing with each other. Don’t do anything for selfish purposes, but with humility think of others as better than yourselves. Instead of each person watching out for their own good, watch out for what is better for others.

Adopt the attitude that was in Christ Jesus:

Though he was in the form of God, he did not consider being equal with God something to exploit. But he emptied himself by taking the form of a slave and by becoming like human beings. When he found himself in the form of a human, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

(Philippians 2:1-8)

  1. Amen so true Bishop but if people don’t have the spirit of God the word said they re none of His . Nor can we fellowship if we are not a member of the same body (Jesus Christ )

  2. Amen Bishop! Jesus Himself came to serve, we should all be ready to serve one another, regardless of who we are, or who any of us may think we are? And if anyone thinks above another, then indeed they are not one with the body of Christ as Christ is one with all of us! All praise and glory to God our Father and Jesus Christ our LORD and Saviour!
