1 Corinthians 2:13-14

“Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

The unsaved, the unconverted, the disobedient, the perverted, deceived and the rebellious cannot receive, perceive, comprehend or understand the things of God. Neither can those who subscribe to the isms of this world – intellectualism, credentialism, denominationalism, Catholicism, etc. – come to a saving knowledge of Christ.

A CRUMB FROM THE MASTER’S TABLE

The Master's Table

“Then Satan entered Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve apostles.  Judas went to the chief priests and the temple guards and discussed with them how he could betray Yeshua. They were pleased and agreed to give him some money…Yeshua said to him, ‘Judas, do you intend to betray the Son of Man with a kiss?’” (Luke 22:3-5, 48)

A friend that Jesus knew and trusted betrayed him and was instrumental in His crucifixion. Judas used his friendship with Jesus and Jesus’ love for him for personal gain and profit. He conspired with Jesus’ enemies to destroy him.

1 Peter-4-12

Unlike Jesus, we may not know who our betrayer is. However, as a Christian, we should be prepared to be betrayed and to suffer at the hands of those whom we love and trust.

If our Lord and Savior was betrayed by his friend and follower, we will be also.
