“The secret things belong to the LORD our God.” (Deuteronomy 29:29)
“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him…There is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries.” (Daniel 2:20-22, 28)
“To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his.” (Job 12:13)
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
“For who has known the mind of the Lord,
or who has been his counselor?”
“Or who has given a gift to him
that he might be repaid?”
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. (Romans 11:33-36)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:1-5)
Mankind’s knowledge is as darkness when compared to the marvelous light of God’s secret wisdom that only belongs to Him and is unattainable but is only shared by God with those who respectfully reverence, fear and obey Him. God chooses with whom He will reveal His secretes to. No amount of scientific investigation, philosophical or theological postulations will ever reveal The True and Living God of Heaven – Yahweh.
But if we were to humble ourselves and repent and acknowledge our fallen, sinful, wretched and inadequate condition, the LORD may hear our prayer and grant us mercy to know Him.
