The Master's Table

But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land? “While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” And as he heard these words, Ananias fell down and breathed his last. (Acts 5:3-5)

There are severe consequences to lying.

When we purposely lie to an authorized representative of civil or federal law in an attempt to deceive, it is called a crime and there are dire consequences.

When we purposely lie to a divinely authorized and Holy Spirit filled representative of Almighty God, it is called sin and there are dire consequences. For the wages of sin is death.

The Master's Table

“The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never overcome it.”

(John 1:5)

When the lie is exposed by the Truth, it may become irritated, frustrated and aggravated but it is ultimately eradicated.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

The Master's Table

Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:

‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’

‘In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’”

Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’”

(Matthew 4:5-7)

There are a lot of preachers trained to use the scriptures to illustrate their message. However, there is a difference between using the scriptures to make a point and the Holy Spirit speaking out of the Holy Scriptures revealing God’s point.

In Matthew 4:5-7, Satan quoted Psalm 91:11-12 in an attempt to get Jesus to submit to his authority and obey him and do what he asked. But Satan quoted the scripture out of context and twisted its meaning to serve his purpose. This psalm of deliverance couldn’t possible be referring to Christ since Christ does not need delivering. He is the deliverer (Psalm 91:1-6). But Jesus responded to Satan’s deception by quoting out of the Eternal Law and Commands of Almighty God (Deuteronomy 6).

There are a lot of satanic preachers out there using the scriptures with great persuasive skill to make their point and get us to surrender to their authority and obey their self-serving demonic doctrines.

But Don’t Fall For It! Don’t get it twisted! Effective and persuasive speech and wrongful manipulation of scriptures does not draw us to Christ and salvation.

Jesus said in John 6:44 that “No one can come to him unless the Father who sent him draws them, and he will raise them up at the last day.” Therefore it is God the Father who draws us to Christ and He never deceives nor tempts us.

James 1:13 says, “For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.” And Jeremiah records the Lord as saying that “He has loved us with an everlasting love And draws us with unfailing kindness.”

The Father does the drawing and He draws us to the Living Word of God – Jesus Christ – with an everlasting love and with lovingkindness.  For He has come to save His people from their sin and not to tempt them with earthly riches or to test their faith in Him through trials.

God is not a tempter but a deliverer.

May God help us to rightly discern between His Saving Word and Satan’s persuasive temptations.

Today’s Sabbath Message / Cut Down Without Ever Given A Chance

Matthew 15 19The Bible teaches us that we can judge a tree by the fruit it bears. The Bible was not talking about trees. It is speaking of people.

Be careful not to judge a person by what they ingest. Whether what they are ingesting is socially accepted or frowned upon by the law, their substance intake is not proof of the condition of their hearts. But our prejudicial and demeaning statements regarding them are sure evidence of the fruit of our souls.

“It is not the thing that enters the mouth that defiles a man, but the thing that proceeds from the mouth that defiles a man. Do you not understand that everything that goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is eliminated? But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders.” (Matt.15:11, 17-19)

Although the above scripture is about eating with unwashed hands, its principle truth cannot be denied nor changed regardless of the context.

It is dangerous and risky to judge the outward appearance or habits of a person without knowing the inner workings of that person, for in their heart the true worth and knowledge about that person may be found.

Would a physician make a diagnose (judgment) of liver disease without first thoroughly examining the liver via X-rays, MRIs and/or Ultra Sounds and other procedures that look inside the body and at the liver itself? The answer is “no.”

We as children of God need to learn to look deep into the root of a tree before determining that the tree is rotten and is of no worth and is therefore eligible for chopping down. We should not rush to judgment before we try to show nurturing love and caring compassion toward that tree; giving it every opportunity to thrive and produce. (Ref. 1 Samuel 16:7)

And Jesus told this parable: “A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. And he said to the vinedresser, ‘Look, for three years now I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. Cut it down. Why should it use up the ground?’ And he answered him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put on manure. Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down.’” (Luke 13:6-9)

Jesus was not speaking about fig trees.

Ask yourself these questions:

If God had judged me by what I was not producing before I was converted, would I still be here? Would I be doing as well as I am doing? Would I have the things that I now have? Would I have the success that I now enjoy? Would I be the person that I am today?

God looked beyond your inadequacies and saw your potential and gave you a chance. Who have you done that for lately or have you rushed to judgment and simply kicked them to the curve – chopping them down and ending their fruit bearing potential?

The Master's Table“The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8)

The above scripture text is apart of a larger scripture lesson on the re-birth salvation plan of God – John 3:1-17.   But for the purpose of our edification, we shall only focus on verse 8.

In verse 8, Jesus uses the “wind” to demonstrate or paint a picture of the character of those who have been truly born again – born of the water and of the Spirit. In this part of his discussion with Nicodemus, he is describing the character and behavior of those born again and endowed with the Holy Spirit.

We all understand that the wind is air in motion. It is invisible.  No one can see it but we can all hear it, feel it and see its effects and impact upon our environment.

This can mean that those who are born of Water and the Spirit now exist in a different dimension than those who are not.   The Holy Spirit causes us to act, think, feel and perceive differently from the world.  So those who are not born of the Spirit of Holiness can not discern (see) or understand (comprehend) where we come from and where we may go.  They can only observe our impact on the environment as we move (blow) through.   They can hear us, feel our presence, see the effects of our movement but never understand us or from whence we come.

As 1 Corinthians 2:14 says:
“The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.”

My Song Of Testimony and Praise

Praise The Lord My Friends:

I know that I probably have already featured this song in one of my earlier posts, but it still speaks for me and to me today.  For those who can relate to this song, you are not alone.

The Master's Table

“Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?”

They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust.

When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?”

“No, Lord,” she said.

And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”

(John 8:4-11)

God doesn’t save us from the consequences of our sins just for us to go sin some more.

NO! He says, “Go and sin no more.”

But afterward Jesus found him in the Temple and told him, “Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worse may happen to you.” (John 5:14)

To continue to sin after being saved from the consequences of sin is to invite an even worse consequence than before.

Obama-Gay-marriage 2

Hello my fellow saints and believers:

If all genuine followers of Christ would unite and abstain from wickedness by refusing to watch and support the Oscars and any television /cable / satellite shows that feature and celebrate homosexuality, whether openly, suggestively, by implication or via creator/production personality, we could impress upon the powers that be and their commercial sponsors that we are as great if not a greater force for change and Christian moral values as the gay and lesbian lobbyists are for homosexuality and the ultimate dismantling and destruction of the God institution of family.

I strongly suggest that every Christian of Conscious boycott shows, movies and plays that obscure, pervert, change, dismiss or in any way contradicts God’s Law against homosexuality.  We should not support, through our television viewing, ticket purchases or attendance, the celebration of sexual immorality and embolden brazenness in the face of God and His Word.

Any show that has a man portraying a woman or conveys an acceptance of homosexuality whether directly or indirectly though suggestive dialogue, comedy, visual media or script, should be considered anti-christian and a part of Satan’s world domination and deception.

We cannot worship God while supporting His sworn enemies.

We cannot be Holy as He is Holy while vicariously supporting and enjoying an open rebellion against what God allows.

We cannot claim to be for God and His righteousness while advocating for gays and lesbians with our time, money and resources.

We cannot be God’s friend and friends with those who oppose God.

It just will not work!

We will have to make a choice. We will not go bullied into accepting sin no matter what the government, society or other gutless wonders may say.

We didn’t start this war.   And don’t be deceived, it is a war.

So let Christians around the world unite and send a message that cannot be ignored.  Let’s hit them where they hurt the most – in their finances and in their broadcast ratings.

I STRONGLY suggest that this movement begins with the boycotting of the Oscars on Sunday, March 2, 2014.  So hurry and spread the news and join the real followers of God and of Christ.
