At first it starts out so “innocently.” At least it seems so. Just a glance, a quick look, a touch—a jolt of excitement. And then another touch and another jolt of excitement. A moment of curious infatuation turns into a lustful fascination. It pulls you in, until you are sinking in a quicksand of writhing unbridled passion and exchange of bodily fluids. One time becomes two, then three. One moment becomes an eternity. A momentary lapse in morals becomes a recurring sinful habit. It becomes easier and easier each time to dismiss God’s eternal moral law in favor of your own need for immediate sexual gratification. After all, you cannot put the genie back in the bottle. Your life has now changed forever. Your virginity (sexual purity) along with your self-esteem and dignity are now gone. You try to dull the pain and justify the lost by engaging in even more sexual depravity. You buy into the demonic notion of consensual sex whereby society says that it is ok so it must be alright. Society, the media, the internet and the movies all portray causal sex as healthy and good so you say that “It is all good.” You twist and pollute the Word of God to accommodate your immoral acts. You blame others for judging you but it is the Word that judges us all. In reality you are filled with disappointment, frustration, shame and guilt. You can never get back what you so foolishly gave away. Now everyone has to deal with your anger, your brokenness, your hidden shame, your unspoken frustration, your bitternes and distrust.
Your disobedience has placed you in the predicament that you are now in and your rebellious, prideful, self-gratifying attitude prohibits you from coming clean and confessing that you were wrong. You don’t beg God for forgiveness but justify yourself as only being human. Therefore, you not only have lost your sexual purity and self-worth, you have lost your way and your soul.
And when you lift your eyes in hell, ask yourself the question, “Was it worth it?”
However, there is GOOD NEWS.
The Good New is that you can start over if you CONFESS and REPENT!
“If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. (1 John 1:8-10)
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, they are a New Creation: old things are passed away; behold ALL THINGS ARE MADE NEW.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Therefore, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
You can be saved if you would OBEY ACTS 2:38 and have all your sins washed away.
