This Week’s Word
Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it.” A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:24-29)
This Week’s Prayer
Father, it is in the name of the LORD YeHoWsHua* (Jesus Christ) we pray. Please forgive us for ever doubting you or failing to believe in your Lordship. We recognize the great sacrifice that You made for us on Calvary’s Cross and we believe!!! We acknowledge You as both LORD and God. We are overwhelmed by the magnitude of Your love for us that You would bear the penalty for our sins and endure the punishment for our transgressions. Thank You for the pain and suffering You bore for us. Please help us to honor Your sacrifice with a life of humility, devotion, praise and obedience to Your Word. Empower us with your Holy Spirit O God so that others may see the resurrected savior in us and give You Glory and Honor. In the matchless name of our Lord and savior YeHoWsHua* (Jesus the Christ) we pray, Amen.

Footnote: *The Hebrew spelling of the name of Christ is used in this prayer for educational purposes. Yehowshua is often shorten to Yeshua but out of respect for my Lord I chose to use the spelling of His proper name to demonstrate that His name is above every name and that even the spelling of His name is relative to the spelling of The Father’s name – remembering that there were not any vowels in the Hebrew alphabets. Thus, YHWH (Yahweh) and YeHoWsHua (Yahweh is salvation) are grammatically and uniquely related. Notice the Y-H-W-H in both the Father and the Son.
