What Does Your Salvation Rest Upon?

Just A Note Of Warning To All Those Seeking Genuine Salvation

fair-warning

Your salvation is not dependent upon you being convinced that you are saved. It isn’t dependent upon the church that you attend.  It isn’t dependent upon your pastor’s opinion of you or someone’s evaluation of you. Your salvation is not dependent upon your tithing, your giving, your singing or any outward performance.  It isn’t dependent upon your physical appearance. And nowhere in the Scriptures does Jesus teach that your eternal salvation is dependent upon your knowledge of scripture or that if you can recite the Word of God then you can have the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Satan knows and quotes scriptures better than some saints. The devil can imitate the behavior and produce false fruits that resemble the fruits of the Spirit of God. The devil believes in God for He was made by God and was numbered among the sons of God (Job 1:6 and Job 2:1). The devil knows more about imitating God and His Church than anyone does and he does so successfully (Revelation 12:9).

Satan and his messengers (angels) spout demonic doctrines mixed with some spiritual truths to disguise Satan’s ultimate deception which is that you don’t have to obey God’s commands or be saved in accordance with God’s ordained plan of salvation (John3:3-7 and Acts 2:38).

Some of Satan’s demonic doctrines and messages sound like this:

  • “All you need to do is believe and accept Jesus as your personal savior. You don’t have to be baptized to be saved.”

  •  “All you need to do is demonstrate the fruits of the spirit and be a good moral person. You don’t have to speak in tongues to show evidence of the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
  • “All you need to do is stay in the Word and speak the Word. You don’t have to do anything else. God has already done it all through Christ.”
  • “All you have to do is give your heart to God.  God will save you right where you are.”
  • “All you have to do is recite the sinner’s prayer and you are saved.”

The trouble with all of these doctrines is that they disguise disobedience to God with religious rhetoric and popular theology that sounds righteous but leads sinners to Hell and damnation (Proverbs 14:12). These doctrines are inherently rebellious and war against God and His eternal Commandments. These doctrines and their messengers wreck havoc on lost sheep and help to lead others astray. However, God is not silent concerning this offence (Ezekiel 34:2-4 and Jeremiah 23:1). Some shepherds will be destroyed even while they are yet preaching the lie and others will fall deathly ill.  This shall be a sign unto you that God is the good shepherd and He cares for His sheep.

I’ve discovered that those who haven’t experienced genuine salvation in accordance with God’s ordained Commandments found in John 3:3-7 and Acts 2:37-42 cannot effectively and truthfully teach what they have not experienced or obeyed.

pagan-christianityMany are caught in a continuous losing struggle to defend and prove their religious salvation to God, to others and to themselves. They are deceived and don’t know it. And because of their stubborn and arrogant ways, God has hidden His Truth from them (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 also see Matthew 11:25, Luke 10:21-24, 1 Corinthians 1:20). The best that they can do is to imitate a form or religion without the power of genuine salvation (2 Timothy 3:5).

Beware my friends. If you see a tree bearing fruits that looks good, examine its roots carefully to determine if its grounded and rooted in the apostolic truth of Jesus Christ. Examine it closely to see if it is watered by the waters of baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and listen carefully to the wind that is caught in its branches to hear if the Spirit of God speaks out of it with the evidence of tongues (John 3:8, Acts 10:44-48, 2 Corinthians 1:22, Acts 19:5-7). These things are biblically true, sound and tested by the apostles of Christ. No one else’s testimony will do.

We are living in the last days. Many have left the truth and yet others have never known the truth. Still yet there are those who don’t desire to know the truth.

But know this. “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works.” (1 Jon 1:10-11)

Finally, I would have you to know that your salvation is totally dependent upon the Blood of Christ Jesus. And without the blood, you are eternally lost.

If you find that you have been caught in a web of lies and religious traditions; if you discover that you’ve been preaching a false doctrine; if you have awaken to the reality that you are not saved but have been deceived and have deceived others, there is yet hope.  God is faithful and kind. He doesn’t desire that any be lost.  “He is patient toward us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

Remember that Jesus say if we love him we will obey what He commands. (John 14:5)  Anyone who says that they love the Lord and yet refuses to obey His commandment to repent and be baptized in His name is a liar.

Therefore, openly confess your errors and repent. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

REPENT!
